Google Chrome and that damned EULA
Submitted by Gold on Thu, 09/04/2008 - 09:21.
So, Chrome has been released and from all reports it's a pretty impressive piece of software. There seems to be a lot if debate over the EULA and its rather God-like claim of ownership any and all content sent or displayed in the browser. In the context of a Web browser the EULA is just insane.

pager_query() peculiarities
Submitted by Gold on Thu, 07/31/2008 - 15:11.I'd been banging my head against this for a while now and finally dug around in includes/pager.inc to figure out what was going on...
The situation;
I had a query and while pager_query() returned the correct results theme('pager') always returned way too many pages.

Firefox 3
Submitted by Gold on Fri, 05/30/2008 - 18:06.I installed Firefox 3 RC1 this morning. I have to say, it's feeling quite stable, very responsive and the CSS rendering is pretty good. It hasn't produced any complaints from looking at any of my recent projects at least.

Tempest 08
Submitted by Gold on Thu, 05/08/2008 - 16:24.The Tempest page is finally done. I really need to get this site migrated to a Drupal based system. The online registration form is done also. This was a quick one. Just a slight modification of the one set up for NatCon08. This one only took about 30 minutes this time.

Workload
Submitted by Gold on Fri, 04/18/2008 - 09:01.Things are looking up. I have steady work from Egressive and am also finishing up one project from Meta Solutions while on the verge starting another. Setting up office at the Effusion Group was probably the best advice I've received and the best choice I've made.

NatCon 2008
Submitted by Gold on Wed, 12/19/2007 - 11:34.The NatCon 2008 Registration Form has just gone live.
NatCon is an annual national wargaming tournament. This year the tournament is being held by the Christchurch Cavaliers at the St Albans & Shirley Working Men's Club. They needed an on-line registration system that would allow the tournament organisers to be able to collect the registrations with the minimum amount of fuss and paperwork.

Site Content
Submitted by Gold on Tue, 12/11/2007 - 10:53.I've started putting up some content. Not entirely happy with it, and there needs to be a lot more. Need to do some of that money generating work for the moment now though so this will need to wait a bit.
